Some semi-transparent shades, such as Natural, Baby Boomer, or French Manicure, allow the natural nail to show through, which can cause the result to vary slightly from person to person.
For some designs, the effect may also depend on the nail length: on very short nails, the gradient effect or white line may be less visible. These designs are intended to fully reveal their effect from a minimum length.
