How long do the patches last?
When you order multiple types of patches, it's normal not to use them all at once. To preserve their effectiveness, it's essential to store them properly—especially if you want to keep them for several weeks or even months.
Before opening: optimal preservation
NAILCARE patches are packaged in an airtight bag. As long as they remain unopened, they can be stored for up to 12 months after receipt, provided they are kept in good conditions:
– At room temperature (15–25 °C)
– Protected from direct sunlight and humidity
– Away from a heat source (radiator, sun, hair dryer…)
💡 Ideally, store them in a pencil case or a closed box in a drawer.
After opening: caution required
As soon as the sachet is opened, the patches come into contact with the air.
Even if you don't use them all at once, you can keep several as long as you reseal the packaging carefully :
– Use a clip or adhesive tape to seal tightly
– Store in a dry place
– Use the remaining patches within 7 to 10 days
Practical storage tips
– Slide the partially used boards into a small rigid box or a jewelry case
– Avoid storing them in an open bathroom (steam, humidity)
– When travelling, keep your patches in a zip-lock bag or an insulated pouch
Frequently asked questions:
Can I use a patch that was opened 3 weeks ago?
Not recommended. The risk is that the adhesive may have lost its effectiveness, compromising the hold.
Is it dangerous to use an outdated patch?
Not dangerous, but the result will be less sharp and the hold less reliable.
